Carob from the fruit of the carob tree is an invaluable source of calcium, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, iron and vitamins such as A, B2, B3 and D.
Carob is gluten-free, rich in protein and low in fat.
It lowers blood pressure, can be used to treat asthma, improves digestion, has expectorant properties, is used to treat coughs, flu, osteoporosis thanks to its calcium and phosphorus content .
